When choosing a fiber laser welding machine, power selection is very important. The most common options are 1500W, 2000W, and 3000W. But which one is suitable for your production?
The answer mainly depends on material thickness and working efficiency requirements.
1500W Laser Welding Machine
A 1500W laser welder is ideal for thin metal applications.
Suitable for:
Stainless steel: 1–4mm
Carbon steel: 1–4mm
Aluminum: 1–3mm
This model is cost-effective, energy-saving, and easy to operate. It is widely used in kitchen equipment, metal cabinets, doors and windows, and small fabrication workshops.
If your materials are mostly thin sheets and you do not need extremely high speed, 1500W is usually sufficient.
2000W Laser Welding Machine
The 2000W model offers better penetration and faster speed.
Suitable for:
Stainless steel: up to 5mm
Carbon steel: up to 5mm
Aluminum: up to 5mm
It provides a good balance between performance and price. Many medium-sized factories choose 2000W because it allows more flexibility for different thicknesses.
If your production sometimes involves thicker materials and you want higher efficiency, 2000W is a reliable choice.
3000W Laser Welding Machine
A 3000W laser welder is designed for heavy-duty welding.
Suitable for:
Stainless steel: up to 8mm
Carbon steel: up to 8mm
Aluminum: up to 6-7mm
It delivers deeper penetration and higher welding speed, making it ideal for industrial manufacturing and large-scale production.
If you regularly weld thick plates or require maximum productivity, 3000W is recommended.
