Single-Platform Cutting Machine Maintenance Methods

Single-platform cutting machines require consistent daily cleaning, regular lubrication, system checks, and component maintenance to ensure cutting accuracy, extend equipment life, and reduce the risk of malfunctions.

After each shift, first disconnect the power and stop the machine. Clean the platform surface and the area around the cutting head, removing metal debris, dust, and oil. Use a brush and compressed air to blow away debris from the guide rails, lead screws, gears, and other transmission parts to prevent chip buildup and jamming. Wipe the control panel, display screen, and buttons, and keep the exterior of the electrical control cabinet clean. Before starting the machine each day, check the air supply pressure, cooling water tank level, and water quality to ensure normal water temperature and no leaks in the pipelines.

Perform weekly lubrication maintenance by adding special lubricating oil or lithium-based grease to the guide rails, sliders, lead screws, gears, and other moving parts. Use an appropriate amount of oil to avoid dust accumulation. Clean the dust removal system filter and fume ducts, and clear the exhaust channels to prevent dust contamination of the optical lenses. Check the wear of the torch, nozzles, and electrodes, clean debris from the ignition port, and test the emergency stop button and limit switches.

Monthly deep maintenance includes thoroughly cleaning optical lenses (focusing lenses, reflecting lenses) with anhydrous ethanol and special lens cleaning paper, wiping from the center outwards in a spiral motion to avoid scratching the coating. Check electrical wiring terminals for looseness, blow away dust from inside the electrical control cabinet, and investigate potential aging or damaged wiring. Calibrate the cutting platform's levelness and positioning accuracy, check the tension of drive belts and steel belts, and replace worn seals and filters.

Quarterly comprehensive overhaul includes replacing the coolant in the cooling system and cleaning the water tank and piping. Monitor the servo motor and driver's operating status, and test various equipment parameters and cutting accuracy. Establish maintenance records and promptly replace severely worn nozzles, guide rails, bearings, and other vulnerable parts to ensure stable and efficient equipment operation.
