Welding machines are commonly used equipment in industrial production. Prolonged high-intensity operation can easily lead to wear and tear. Proper daily maintenance not only ensures welding quality but also extends equipment lifespan, reduces malfunctions, and guarantees operational safety.
After daily use, clean the equipment promptly. First, use specialized tools to remove welding slag, rust, and debris from the welding torch, electrodes, and worktable, keeping contact surfaces clean to prevent impurities from affecting conductivity and welding results. Clean the cable exterior for stains and check for damage or cracks to eliminate potential leakage hazards.
Regular inspection of equipment accessories is crucial. Check the power cord and grounding wire weekly for secure connections. Poor grounding not only affects welding accuracy but also poses safety risks. Check the gas and water pipes for leaks and replace worn seals and worn welding torch nozzles and contact tips promptly. Wipe away internal dust monthly to keep ventilation vents clear and prevent overheating shutdowns.
Operate according to regulations. Overloading and arbitrarily changing equipment parameters are strictly prohibited. When not in use for extended periods, turn off the power and air supply, protect against dust and moisture, and store in a dry, well-ventilated environment. For laser welding machines, regularly maintain the optical system, clean the lenses, and check the cooling system to ensure proper water cooling circulation.
Maintain accurate equipment maintenance records, report any malfunctions promptly, and do not operate the machine while it is malfunctioning. Adhering to scientific maintenance practices will keep the welding machine in stable operating condition, reduce maintenance costs, and improve operational efficiency.
