1.Cost Ranking of the Three Gases: Air Cutting < Oxygen Cutting <Nitrogen Cutting

Air Cutting: The cheapest option.

Oxygen Cutting: Slightly more expensive, but very close to Air Cutting.

Nitrogen Cutting: Significantly more expensive, 2.5 to 3 times the cost of Air/Oxygen Cutting.

2.Consistent Cost Pattern for 6000W and 12000W Machines

Air Cutting is still the most economical.

Nitrogen Cutting is still the most expensive.

Higher laser power leads to higher overall operating costs, but the relative cost difference between the three cutting processes remains constant.

3.Electricity Cost is Not the Main Factor; Gas Cost is the Real Cost Driver!

The difference in electricity costs between different processes is minimal.

The high cost of Nitrogen gas is the primary reason for the significantly higher operating cost of Nitrogen Cutting.

4.Summary & Recommendations

Thin sheets, high-quality edge finish required: Use Nitrogen for the best results, despite the highest cost.

Medium-thick plates, seeking a balance of cost and performance: Use Oxygen for a moderate cost.

High-volume production, standard quality requirements: Use Compressed Air for the lowest cost.
